The Joy of writing

Posted by The author

I have to admit that the last couple of days have been rather edifying for me. What started as a desire to return to my writing last week turned out to be more complicated as I found out that my username and password for my blog had somewhat "changed". To be honest,  I was quite surprised. I mean who the heck would want to even "hack" my account??

Anyhow, I managed to solve the problem sometime mid-last week but I gotta say that the "additional delay" in my writing splurge got me even more hungry to pen my thoughts down. I guess that's what happens when you have to wait for something you really want a little longer isn't it?  In anycase it's great to be writing again.

And this time, I have begun to just develop a more-free flow writing style. In the past I was quite adamant that my writing style be of the highest quality as my goal was to use my blog to improve on my writing eloquence. Well, when you have that sorta pressure breathing down your neck, it's quite obvious the mood to just generally write also diminishes with it, as you start thinking that "nothing I ever write will be of worthy publishing and for people to read".

But the truth of the matter is, when you write from the heart, as the heart is not bounded by rules, so it will also reflect in the craft that is being produced, in this case your writing. And when you write with such joy and passion, those feelings are echoed and shared in the words. And that's what I call "the joy of writing".

The ability to just freely express yourself through words and later share those stories with those around you is something I have found to be quite valuable and its something that I do treasure deeply. It also helps clear the mind as once the thoughts are hard-coded into something tangible, the mind is able to freely "let it go" without much difficulty and begin to process newer thoughts and ideas.

Ahh, to have finally rekindled that joy of writing once again...

I’m back

Posted by The author

Yeap after my one month long dissapearance I'm finally back! Had some issues with my blog but it's all back to normal! My account actually got hacked (or so I think, or maybe it's just some random unexplainable screwup in the server system) but whatever it is, I'm back and yippidee do it's good to be back alright. Hmm need to find how I can do autobackup (bi weekly) for this blog so that I can restore it whenever it goes down again in the future :(

Note : This is a pre-dated post

2 posts at one go!

Dear friend,

Thank you for reading Uncanny Philosophy and following my thoughts and life throughout this time. I have returned home from my 2 weeks vacation trip in Europe. In my time over there, I got some opportunity to do some reflection and I managed to do some writing in the train while we moved from one country to another. It was a good break and writing on the train is quite a bonus. I'm sure you would have read all those stories on how you hear people doing works of creativity while on a train (i.e. reading books, pondering outside the glass window as the train passes by the outside country yard and the meadows).

Well I did do some reading (I managed to finish off Paolo Coelho's Veronika Decides to Die and Walter Kirn's Up in the Air) but at the same time, I did do some writing ; just general thought reflecting which amounted in two posts being produced here.

The first is about finding meaning in the ordinary where I just reflected on the course of my life during  my train journey from Paris to Bern (Switzerland).

The 2nd one is on figuring out the Constant in our lives. I borrowed the title from an episode of Lost and I wrote this post toward the end of my stay where I found that my constant in life is actually my divine maker.

The 3rd post, also I had written during my stay in Paris, entitled "The Price we pay" was actually based on some of my experiences in Europe. Some situations had occur which made me sit down and think on the price we pay whenever we heed to a certain decision that we make in our life.

Both posts I hope will be interesting and will be able to inspire you in your own journey of life.

Happy reading :)

Cheers!
